About the Role

CommonSpirit Health, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join its Finance Division. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in assisting the finance management team in achieving system objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative support in financial analysis and planning, with a focus on assigned operational areas.
  • Assist in forecasting financial needs, including pro forma financial statements, break-even analysis, cash flow projections, ratio analysis, cash planning, capital planning, resource utilization, and evaluation of financing alternatives.
  • Coordinate and prepare the routine Analytical Review of operational activity, incorporating sound financial analysis, budget vs. actual comparisons, and benchmarking, in close cooperation with operational personnel.
  • Participate in the creation of an instrument panel of key statistics, ratios, and data for use by Senior and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Provide training and support to financial analyst I and financial analyst II members of the Finance Division.
  • Offer advice, counsel, and suggestions for operational improvement, support, and accountability of financial operations to leadership.
  • Facilitate communication and act as a point of contact between managers at assigned areas and members of the Accounting & Finance Department.
  • Support the gathering of common statistics in an accurate and timely fashion to support other financial, planning, and operational activities and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general accounting or finance.
  • Masters degree and/or a CPA license preferred.
