About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Computer Coordinator to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining our Perioperative and OR Scheduling databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain Perioperative and OR Scheduling databases, ensuring seamless data management and efficient operations.
  • Test and document database modifications, upgrades, and new implementations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Enter inventory locations in HEMM and troubleshoot hardware and software problems in the OR, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Coordinate and provide computer training to employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assign procedures to surgeons based on credentialing, creating resource maps for new physicians and procedures as needed.
  • Review and enter new items into the HSM database according to policy, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Perform OR charging functions, reviewing and processing charges before they are finalized.
  • Train employees on OR charging procedures and update charging protocols as needed, ensuring compliance with HMH standards.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance, ISD, and Materials, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  • Print routine reports and create new computer reports as needed, requesting Peroperative database information from relevant sources.
  • Review OR nursing data entry reports, making corrections or requesting nursing input as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned, adhering to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs and graduation from approved nursing school.
  • Operating Room Nurse experience, with a working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office and ClinStar).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Operating Room Nurse experience, with a strong background in medical informatics and technology.
