Job Description

Overview: Whitehawk Worldwide, a leading staffing and security firm, is actively seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Alarm Monitors within our Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is essential for maintaining safety and security in various operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vigilantly monitor alarm systems, video feeds, and radio communications, ensuring prompt reporting to security supervisors and dispatching personnel as necessary.
  • Execute SOC responsibilities in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which include maintaining notification protocols, updating daily activity logs, and preparing incident reports when required.
  • Additional duties may encompass serving as the primary command and control for security and safety operations, notifying emergency responders of incidents, briefing facility leadership, and overseeing life safety and building automation systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of specialized experience with alarm monitoring systems, ideally within the Department of Defense (DOD) context. (Required)
  • Possession of a DOD Secret Clearance. (Required)
  • Proficiency in writing incident reports is preferred.
  • Experience in radio dispatch or as a 911 operator is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LENEL and electronic security systems is essential. (Required)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Experience with facility annunciators or public address systems is preferred.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age. (Required)
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory. (Required)
  • Ability to pass a physical examination, drug screening, and federal background investigation. (Required)
  • Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and understanding regulations and instructions. (Required)
  • Candidates must complete the state application process for a Maryland Guard Card during the hiring process; assistance will be provided. (Required)

Job Types: Full-time

Compensation: $27.25 per hour plus $5.17 Health & Welfare.

Work Schedule:

  • Shifts ranging from 6 to 12 hours.
  • Availability for both day and night shifts.
  • Typical schedule includes three 12-hour days and one 6-hour day.
  • Must be available to work one weekend day per week.
  • Flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed.
  • Expected to work between 32 to 42 hours weekly.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in alarm monitoring is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience within the DOD is preferred.
  • Background in emergency management or response is helpful.
