About the Role

Papé, a leading medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join their team in Ellensburg. As a key member of the shop team, you will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to support customers and maximize their uptime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex repairs on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Direct the work of other technicians and mechanics, and may lead the shift in the Foreman's absence.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing self-motivation and assertiveness to achieve goals.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and customer relations skills to provide top-notch service to customers.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic trouble-shooting.
  • Completion of the Kenworth Engine Specialist training track and enrollment in the Kenworth Master Tech program.
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to provide own tools.
