Job Title: Journeyman Truck Technician

Pape Trucks Inc is seeking a skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to join our team in Ellensburg, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Journeyman Truck Technician to work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in our shop. As a Journeyman Truck Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring complicated repairs are done accurately and timely, supporting our customers and maximizing their uptime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop, ensuring complicated repairs are done accurately and timely.
  • Direct the work of other technician/mechanics and may lead the shift in the Foreman's absence.
  • Requires the completion of the Kenworth Engine Specialist training track and enrollment in the Kenworth Master Tech program.
  • Self-motivation and assertiveness.
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Must provide own tools.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
