We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic and Shop Assistant to join our team at Mongoose Trucking in North Dakota.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of Peterbilt tractors and tanker trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes
  • Assist with repairs and maintenance of tanker trailers, PTO, and side dump equipment
  • Work with a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic or in a related field
  • Diagnostic and software experience
  • Certification of Mechanic school or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Peterbilt tractors and tanker trailers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
