Fleet Specialist Job Description

At Fluid Truck, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring our vehicles meet our customer's standards for safety and cleanliness, providing exceptional care to our customers, and managing our fleet at a local level.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance and simple repairs, following guidelines provided by the Regional Market Manager.
  2. Customer Issues and Requests: Respond to customer issues and requests within the established time frame, providing excellent care to our customers.
  3. Vehicle Inspections: Conduct vehicle inspections as required using our mobile app, ensuring all inspections are completed within the designated time and all data is accurate.
  4. Onboarding and Offboarding: Onboard new vehicles by attaching decals, installing telematics, printing plates, and ensuring insurance cards are in the vehicles. Offboard legacy vehicles by decommissioning them, removing decals, uninstalling telematics, and removing all registrations.
  5. Additional Responsibilities: Collaborate with multiple team members and departments, effectively communicate with the Regional Market Manager and Operations Manager, pick up and drop off vehicles at various locations, assist with vehicle recovery, and make financial decisions to promote the health of the local fleet while reducing costs.

Requirements:
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment.
  • Proficiency with mobile app technology and ability to use our mobile app and navigate various internal platforms.
  • Experience in general automotive maintenance and/or fleet management or related field.
  • Ability to develop and manage local vendor relationships.
  • General business acumen with the ability to identify and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs and sit, stand, bend, twist, stretch, and kneel for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Report.
