About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consumer Loan Processor II to join our team at Heritage Bank. As a key member of our loan processing team, you will be responsible for processing and servicing consumer loans, including Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), auto loans, and other consumer loans offered by our division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process loan request packages from branch staff, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Organize files and complete compliance and processing worksheets.
  • Update consumer loan pipeline reports and other reports as directed.
  • Input and maintain data entry functions in our loan processing system.
  • Review and send required disclosures to loan applicants.
  • Collaborate with credit analysts and consumer loan managers to obtain credit analysis and approvals for consumer loans.
  • Prepare appraisal order requests and work with appraisal management companies to obtain appraisals.
  • Order title reports and work with title officers to obtain required information.
  • Verify completion of required compliance processing and documentation per Heritage Bank policy.
  • Work directly with branch staff to obtain additional information required.
  • Assist with loan file maintenance and call backs as needed.
  • Track insurance and flood requirements for consumer and other loans.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in loan processing and servicing. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma and three or more years of related experience.
  • Prior financial industry experience, preferably in a loan department.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A mastery of the loan process and thorough knowledge of consumer loan compliance regulations.
  • The ability to work in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A high degree of investigative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
