Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to maintain cleanliness and sanitation within healthcare facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize detergents and germicides in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Wet dust all surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
  • Make beds using correct bed-making techniques to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Dust mop and wet mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Vacuum carpets to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt.
  • Clean bathrooms following proper procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash walls and windows following proper procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Clean rooms after patient discharge following proper procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean surgery and recovery areas following proper procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Recognize areas needing attention and take appropriate action to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Incorporate assigned cleaning tasks into daily routines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Experience in janitorial duties such as mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to sanitize and maintain environmental services to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
  • Strong customer service skills to provide a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with email, to maintain communication with the team.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate effectively with the team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Sort soiled linens following proper procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash laundry on appropriate cycles to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dry laundry at appropriate temperatures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform correct folds in individual categories of clean linen to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Distribute and store linen following proper procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Incorporate assigned duties into daily schedules to maintain a clean and safe environment.
