About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gal Manufacturing, a Vantage Elevation Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily assessments and maintenance of equipment in various areas, including punch press, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
  • Disassemble machinery and replace defective parts, and perform electrical repairs using electrical schematics.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment through preventative maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Complete assigned projects covering general repairs in the above-mentioned areas.
  • Participate in the coordination and movement of plant equipment.
  • Provide support to OEM mechanics, electricians, and technicians on equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.
  • Verify that manufacturing equipment does not pose employee hazards and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid NY driver's license and forklift operator's certification.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and their repairs.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate of $30.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
  • Weekly pay with overtime available.
  • Eligibility for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union after 90 days.
  • Paid time off as per union contract.
  • Commuter benefit.
