For this role, we are seeking a skilled tradesperson with experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trade worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.


Key Responsibilities:
Operate machine tools, perform routine replacement and repair of plumbing and steamfitting, cut, weld, and braise a variety of metal materials and equipment, and perform semiskilled carpentry activities.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist in repairing and maintaining locks, semiskilled masonry repairs and installation activities, and repair, rebuild, and assist in installing roofs.
  • Perform routine tasks of the electrical trade, including repairing electrical equipment, and assist in painting and decorating work by performing interior and exterior painting.

Requirements:
Valid NYS driver's license, ability to read and understand written and oral instructions, and computer literacy. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.

Background Investigation:
Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs, and investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC) that includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. Additionally, prospective employees may be required to pay any necessary fees. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
