Dental Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at sunsethealth. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dental hygiene services to patients, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning, in accordance with the American Dental Association (ADA) guidelines.
- Conduct thorough dental examinations, including head and neck evaluations, and provide accurate and confidential records and billing.
- Remove calculus deposits and stains from patients' teeth, and apply fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and silver diamine fluoride as needed.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform blood pressure screenings for patients 18 years of age or older.
- Perform perio charting, caries risk assessment, and recording of clinical findings.
- Work in outreach settings without supervision and supervise dental assistants or hygiene students as needed.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and counseling to patients, and discuss homecare procedures and provide instructions when appropriate.
- Provide tobacco cessation intervention and referral when necessary.
- Review medical and dental history for patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in dental hygiene and excellent communication skills. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional patient care.
