Position Overview
The Resident Transition Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Sales and Leasing along with the Sales and Leasing Counselor in facilitating the smooth transition of new residents into the Community. This position requires excellent communication abilities, organizational skills, creativity, and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively. The Resident Transition Specialist is responsible for fostering positive relationships with local businesses, professionals, and organizations, ensuring that new residents feel welcomed and integrated into the community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Uphold and promote a philosophy that respects the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of all residents.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective residents and develop tailored transition plans.
- Oversee the admissions process to guarantee satisfaction for both residents and their families.
- Analyze floor plans and assist in designing optimal furniture arrangements.
- Maintain a robust network of referral sources, providing information through marketing materials or presentations as necessary.
- Proactively engage in the completion of special projects, requests, and assignments as required.
- Collaborate with other Marketing Team Members to ensure effective and timely follow-up of the database.
- Aid in the management of the Resident Referral Program.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements :
- Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles related to senior living.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and a commitment to working in a service-oriented environment.
- Exceptional public speaking, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in computer and internet applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Takes personal responsibility for assigned tasks and completes them accurately and on time.
- Capable of defining specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely goals and objectives.
- Able to present information clearly, communicate effectively, and provide necessary details even in high-pressure situations.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking, and adept at managing time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Education & Experience :
- A college degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an assisted living community is preferred.
