The Department of Physiology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty role at the academic level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor-Research (non-tenure track). Our department is renowned for its commitment to educational excellence and innovation in curriculum design, actively engaging in scholarly activities that support the training of future healthcare professionals and biomedical researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive instruction in physiological and pathophysiological concepts to students across various health professions.
- Take on leadership roles in the creation and execution of physiology courses.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in teaching physiology and pathophysiology to professional students. Candidates with an MD or PhD in Physiology or a closely related biological sciences field are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Experience:
Priority will be given to applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, or health professions levels. Experience in cardiovascular, renal, and/or pulmonary physiology is particularly desirable.
