Position Overview:

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) operates as a fully-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a publicly traded entity on both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker symbol DEC. DGOC is a recognized owner and operator of both conventional and unconventional natural gas and oil wells, as well as midstream pipelines and compression stations, primarily located in the Appalachian Basin across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will concentrate on the assessment and reporting of financial outcomes and operational metrics for the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, this role will collaborate closely with the Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and deliver insightful analyses.

Specific duties include:

  • Conducting financial evaluations of actual results against trends and budgets for the complete income statement, while identifying and communicating variance drivers to Operations leaders and Management.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly internal reports for Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting key performance indicators related to expenses and operational metrics.
  • Providing analytical and reporting assistance to a designated operational region.
  • Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast updates.
  • Incorporating the effects of any completed mergers and acquisitions into budget and forecast.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business finance or accounting is preferred, or other relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivated individual capable of identifying, analyzing, communicating, and resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration and positive interactions across the organization.
  • Able to manage time effectively, perform well under pressure, and handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase and Power BI is a plus.
