Job Summary

Elderwood Village at Hamburg is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, and offices, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with the movement of personal belongings and cleaning/disinfecting of rooms according to accepted procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred.
  • Follow safety guidelines and regulations, including fire safety and infection control principles.
  • Store cleaning compounds and hazardous substances properly to ensure resident and staff safety.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and refuse in a manner that prevents disease transmission and maintains a clean environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, and/or laundry experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
