As an Early Childhood Educator, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and facilitating activities tailored to the interests and developmental needs of the children.
- Engaging in daily communication with parents, documenting and sharing significant milestones in their child's day.
- Maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
Applicants must successfully complete necessary state and company background checks and fulfill the minimum educational and experiential requirements:
- Must meet state criteria to be Teacher Qualified in the State of IL:
- 1) 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of coursework from an accredited institution, including six semester hours or nine quarter hours in subjects directly related to child care and/or development from birth to age 6,
- OR
- 1 year (1560 clock hours) of experience in child development within a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed daycare facility, along with 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of coursework from an accredited institution, including six semester hours or nine quarter hours in subjects related to child care and/or child development from birth to age 6,
- OR
- Completion of credential programs sanctioned by the Department in accordance with Appendix G, commonly referred to as CDA.
