Senior GNC Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Systems Engineer to support the research and development of advanced flight control algorithms for our clients' spacecraft. The focus will be on enhancing their high-fidelity modeling and simulation architecture, driving innovation and excellence in the field of avionics, guidance, navigation, and control systems for both uncrewed and human-rated spacecraft.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain and expand high-fidelity GNC simulation architecture to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and validate additional models for GNC simulations, including hardware-in-the-loop testing to ensure seamless integration.
  • Design, implement, and validate GNC flight software to meet stringent performance and stability requirements.
  • Develop control laws to meet vehicle performance and stability margin requirements, ensuring optimal system behavior.
  • Support flight activities and analyze flight performance data to inform design improvements and optimize system performance.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 1+ years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills, with proficiency in Python programming a plus.

**Preferred Skills & Experience:**

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in orbital mechanics and attitude dynamics and control, with a solid understanding of linear control principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in using MATLAB for data creation, processing, analysis, and visualization, as well as experience with Simulink for modeling dynamic systems.
