Job Summary

We're looking for a confident and professional LPN to work with one of our premier clients, a leading correctional healthcare facility in New Jersey. As a Vitalief employee, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our clients' mission of advancing scientific discoveries and improving patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical nursing care to assigned patients at a Women's Correctional Facility, performing treatments and procedures within established guidelines.
  • Participate in data collection related to patients' status and needs, providing input to Registered Nurses for incorporation into the plan of care.
  • Administer medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established policies, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Inform and instruct patients/significant others on patient health/illness state and plan of care, promoting health maintenance in the home.
  • Document all aspects of patient care and report necessary information and/or unusual occurrences, maintaining current professional skills and continuing professional growth.
Requirements
  • Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Nurse in a clinical and/or hospital setting.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Must possess own vehicle (with a valid driver's license) or have alternative means of transportation from one local site to another.
  • Experience in patient care and giving medication to multiple people at once, with strong personality and professionalism.

Work Environment

Clinton, NJ, with 40-hour work weeks including five 8-hour shifts from 2:00pm to 10:30pm daily, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
