Job Overview

Dock Worker

US Logistics Solutions is on the lookout for dedicated and career-focused individuals to join our dynamic shipping and dock operations. Our dock workers play a crucial role in the efficient loading and unloading of freight from our trailers, ensuring safety and timeliness in every task. This position involves frequent physical activity, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying freight. Comprehensive training and resources will be provided to all new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload freight from straight trucks and/or 53 ft. commercial trailers
  • Utilize handheld scanners to effectively track and manage freight within our distribution system
  • Label boxes accurately and prepare freight for outgoing shipments
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading practices are followed
  • Verify freight documentation and condition to meet quality standards
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative team player who excels in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required
  • Basic knowledge of freight handling is advantageous
