Role Purpose

Syngenta Seeds is now seeking a full stack developer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in delivering innovative and robust analytical tools which enables product advancement and placement for Vegetables & Flowers Seeds Development, Syngenta Seeds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines to support the development and deployment of machine learning models and advanced analytics.
  • Implementing infrastructure as code and automating and streamlining data operations with a focus on cloud-based data processing.
  • Designing and developing end-to-end machine learning pipelines and analytical software.
  • Supporting the design and development of user interface for web-based applications to enable data visualization.
  • Implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Building application containerization and orchestration within a cloud environment.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of deployed models by implementing best practices for logging, monitoring, and error handling to triage issues.
  • Managing software deployment and configuration in non-production and production environments.

Critical Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of coding experience working with cloud-based services, DevOps concepts and software development.
  • Full Stack experience with one or more coding languages (e.g. Python, Java, React/Angular )
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining end to end software.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts and technologies used in CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with logging tools and monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency with developing cloud-native applications and deploying to a cloud environment AWS.
  • Proficiency using data manipulation tools and libraries such as SQL, good to know Pandas, and Spark.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in big data technologies such as Snowflake, Hive, and Kafka)
  • Experience in AI or Machine Learning using Generative AI models and frameworks

Critical Technical, Professional and Personal Capabilities

  • Ability to work with data scientists and subject matter experts in R&D to understand the business requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
