Swine Loader

Opportunity Overview

The Swine Loader collaborates with fellow loaders to efficiently sort and transport finishing animals from pens to trucks, ensuring a strong emphasis on animal welfare and proper handling practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorts and loads animals in a productive, SAFE, and efficient manner.
• Utilizes herding boards to guide animals from pens to aisles.
• Counts animals as they are loaded onto trucks.
• Maintains cleanliness of crew vehicles and equipment.
• Respects the property and equipment of growers.
• Upholds a positive company image.
• Understands and adheres to company environmental, biosecurity, and safety policies during job performance.
• Familiarizes with the company's emergency notification procedures and reviews them at the work site.
• Complies with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.
• Assists in training new loading staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in livestock handling is advantageous.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform hard physical labor.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.
• Capability to operate loading equipment and tools.
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts.
• Supportive of the mission to raise swine for high-quality pork production.
• Able to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrates respectfulness, approachability, and team orientation while fostering strong working relationships and a positive workplace atmosphere.
