Critical Care Nurse Educator Specialist

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist - Critical Care is a key member of our team, responsible for supporting staff in preparing for contemporary practice and acquiring the evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care for tele-ICU acute/critical care patients.
This role involves facilitating the bridging of the gap between research and evidence-based practice, ensuring quality and safe patient care both directly and indirectly.
The ideal candidate will participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with comprehensive unit-based, specialty-based, and hospital-wide educational needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia
- A Master's degree in nursing or related discipline (preferred) or must be matriculated into a master's program within 9 months of employment
- Critical Care certification required or obtained within 9 months of employment
- At least three years of recent tele/ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Certification in CPR and ACLS required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching experienced/inexperienced or nursing staff and nursing students
The salary range for this role is $47.93 per hour - $74.29 per hour, with compensation commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
