Job Summary: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining and recording a complete and systematic set of business transactions. This includes balancing ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and payable.

Compensation: $/hr depending on experience

Work Schedule: Flexible, part-time schedule (must be during normal business hours)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information
  • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers
  • Debit, credit, and total accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software
  • Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses
  • Code documents according to company procedures
  • Reconcile notes and reports discrepancies found in records

Requirements:

  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing
  • 2+ years bookkeeping experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or similar degree preferred
  • Prior experience processing payroll is ideal
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Experience with Service Titan preferred
