Role Overview:
The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the implementation, conformity, and performance of quality processes within the manufacturing plant. This role involves managing customer and internal complaints during the production phase.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough analysis, inspections, and tests to guarantee the quality of products or components during development and serial production.
2. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to assess and enhance current processes.
3. Document all quality assurance activities in accordance with company policies.
4. Lead the quality problem-solving process (8D) in collaboration with customers.
5. Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding quality issues.
6. Regularly monitor customer feedback to identify potential quality concerns.
7. Actively contribute to reducing failure costs, including scrap and warranty claims.
8. Develop innovative solutions to challenges encountered during quality assurance activities.
9. Communicate significant quality assurance findings and recommend process improvements to management.
10. Prepare and present detailed reports on quality assurance activities to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Proven experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality problem-solving methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects aimed at minimizing defects and warranty issues.
- Experience in effectively communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
