Job Title: Assistant Professor of Education

Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will contribute to our Teacher Licensure program, which has been granted approval with distinction by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach core and advanced courses in the education division, including a minimum of two courses contributing to the early childhood and elementary teacher licensure curriculum.
  • Build a rigorous program of high-quality research that integrally involves the contributions of undergraduate researchers.
  • Supervise education capstone projects for non-licensure students and observe teacher licensure candidates in practicum settings.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree or ABD required.
  • Experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged learners in classrooms or other educational settings is strongly encouraged.
  • Ability to mentor a diverse student body and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
