We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Saputo. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving significant and sustainable progress in environmental management and performance at our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the facility's Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure environmental compliance and drive progress against our sustainability goals.
  • Serve as the plant's environmental advisor, change agent, and specialist, providing technical expertise and guidance to teams across the plant structure.
  • Develop and implement tactical plans to deliver on identified goals, including resource conservation, climate, water, and waste management programs.
  • Collect and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for reporting and developing actionable insights to drive environmental performance improvement.
  • Advocate and facilitate action for continual environmental performance improvement, working closely with operations, maintenance, sanitation, sustainability, and compliance teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Direct professional experience in environmental roles, with specific experience in implementing and reviewing/auditing environmental management systems, resource conservation programs, and KPI analysis.
  • Technical capacity for assessing and optimizing utility systems, including knowledge of relevant ISO standards and federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Strong reasoning ability, capable of breaking down complex problems into solvable pieces using data, analysis, assumptions, and judgment.
  • Strong language skills, capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data modeling/analytics.
  • A highly motivated, self-starter attitude, with the ability to operate independently with limited oversight.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and passionate approach towards the role and its impact on our world.
