Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas of the airport terminal and parking facilities while being vigilant about security protocols.
  • Engage with the public, providing assistance and information to passengers.
  • Work under direct supervision to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.

Compensation Structure
Day shift: $16.15/hour + full benefits
Swing shift: $16.96/hour + full benefits
Night shift: $17.36/hour + full benefits

Essential Functions

Perform routine cleaning tasks following established procedures. Address basic issues independently and escalate more complex matters to supervisory staff.

Responsibilities include:
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
  • Vacuuming waiting areas, stairwells, and other designated spaces.
  • Managing waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
  • Responding to spills and ensuring safety in high-traffic areas.
  • Monitoring airport security and reporting any suspicious activities.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Experience, and Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of:
  • Cleaning equipment and procedures.
  • Airport security protocols.
  • Safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals.
Ability to:
  • Work at heights and lift heavy objects.
  • Operate cleaning machinery.
  • Communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of custodial experience.
  • Familiarity with common cleaning practices and products.
  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour General Industry Training.

Licensing and Other Requirements
  • Complete FEMA Certifications for 100 & 700 Courses within six months of employment.

Working Conditions
This role involves physical effort, including lifting and carrying items, and working in various environmental conditions. Employees may encounter exposure to chemicals and mechanical hazards.
