Summary Statement
The Boise Airport is expanding, and we are seeking dedicated individuals who exhibit patience, perseverance, and exceptional customer service skills. Our custodial team plays a crucial role in maintaining the airport's cleanliness and ensuring a pleasant experience for travelers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas of the airport terminal and parking facilities while adhering to security protocols.
- Engage with the public, assisting passengers by providing information and answering inquiries.
- Work under direct supervision to perform essential cleaning tasks.
Shifts and Compensation
Day shift: $16.15/hour + full benefits
Swing shift: $16.96/hour + full benefits
Night shift: $17.36/hour + full benefits
Essential Functions
Perform routine cleaning tasks following established procedures. Address basic issues independently and escalate more complex matters to supervisory staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
- Vacuuming and maintaining waiting areas, stairwells, and walkways.
- Handling waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in various areas.
- Responding to safety concerns and reporting issues identified during inspections.
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience, and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of:
- Cleaning equipment and products.
- General cleaning procedures.
- Airport security protocols.
- Safety regulations regarding cleaning chemicals.
Ability to:
- Work at heights and lift heavy objects.
- Operate cleaning equipment effectively.
- Identify safety hazards and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of experience in custodial services.
- Familiarity with custodial practices and cleaning supplies.
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour General Industry Training.
Licensing and Other Requirements
- Completion of FEMA Certifications for 100 & 700 Courses within six months of hire.
Working Conditions
This position requires physical effort, including lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, and working in various environmental conditions.
