Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Alverno Laboratories. As a key member of our outreach phlebotomy services, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform laboratory office duties, including registering patients, entering data into the computer system, and processing paperwork
  • Prepare specimens for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or reference laboratory
  • Perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director
  • Act as a driver and participate in the on-call rotation as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
  • Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
