Job Title: HR Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to join our team at Georgia Tech. As an HR Consultant, you will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus units. You will also coordinate the implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and assist unit management in the application of human resources policies and procedures
  • Review and coordinate the processing of transactions in the Human Resources Information System (new hires, terminations, pay actions, etc.)
  • Review, analyze, and advise on human resources-related issues (pay equity, promotions, new hires, organizational structures, etc.)
  • Coordinate and facilitate the processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Serve as a liaison between assigned units and the Office of Human Resources regarding new or revised policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four to six years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Master's Degree
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, Teams, and Outlook
  • Experience within a Higher Education setting with faculty and staff
  • Strong communication and customer service experience
  • Detail-oriented and organized

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Professional-level generalist knowledge of human resources administrative practices, including those related to recruitment/staffing, compensation/benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, and workforce planning
  • Skill in the use of office computer applications and HRMS databases

Additional Information:

Salary range: $64,000 - $70,000 based on experience and education

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA)

Job grade: A8

This is not a supervisory position.

This role is considered a position of trust.

This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Cd).

This position will not travel.

This position does not require security clearance.
