About the Position

The University of Denver's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Aron Lab. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the elucidation of novel microbial metal-binding small molecules from human microbiota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to identify and characterize microbial metal-binding small molecules.
  • Analyze and interpret research results, including data from mass spectrometry and bioinformatics tools.
  • Collaborate with undergraduate and graduate researchers to develop and implement research projects.
  • Contribute to the development of research papers and grant proposals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive laboratory environment.
Requirements
  • PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, chemical biology, natural products, or a related field.
  • Experience with microbiology, microbial culturing, and natural products.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
