Key Responsibilities:
As a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will deliver anesthesia services under the supervision of a credentialed anesthesiologist before, during, and after surgical procedures, as well as for diagnostic or therapeutic interventions. You will formulate a care plan based on preoperative evaluations and collaborate with relevant healthcare professionals. You will initiate the designated anesthetic approach under the guidance of the anesthesiologist, administer anesthetic agents and supportive therapies to maintain the patient's physiological stability, and monitor patients throughout the procedure to manage their recovery from anesthesia.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Graduate of an anesthesiologist assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with a Master of Science in Anesthesiology or equivalent.
Experience:
Required: None
Preferred: Two to five years of clinical experience in a high-acuity hospital, specialty hospital, academic medical center, or similar environment.
Certification:
Required: Current certification or recertification as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA), along with ACLS and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
