About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Covenant Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operating room sterile field and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the operating room sterile field to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator.
  • Assist the registered nurse with circulating duties, ensuring that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
  • National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, or National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
