ROLE OVERVIEW

In the capacity of a Portfolio Manager within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at The Ladders, you will be instrumental in enhancing the company's financial planning frameworks, budgeting processes, forecasting accuracy, and strategic evaluations. Your insights and recommendations will be vital in guiding senior leadership towards informed decision-making and the attainment of financial objectives. This role demands a meticulous individual with robust analytical capabilities, financial expertise, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Contribute to the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Perform variance analysis to pinpoint key factors influencing financial outcomes, providing insights and clarifications for discrepancies against budget, forecast, and historical data.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the annual budgeting cycle by engaging with department leaders, consolidating financial information, and evaluating budget proposals.
  • Support the development of financial forecasts and updates informed by business trends, operational performance, and market conditions.
Financial Modeling:
  • Create and sustain financial models that underpin budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Conduct scenario analyses and sensitivity assessments to explore potential outcomes and associated risks.
Business Collaboration:
  • Work closely with various business units to gain insights into their financial performance, key metrics, and strategic priorities.
  • Deliver financial insights and analyses to bolster decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
Ad-hoc Analysis and Projects:
  • Execute ad-hoc financial analyses, ROI assessments, and special projects as directed by management.
  • Assist in the evaluation of business cases for new investments, product introductions, and strategic initiatives.
Process Enhancement:
  • Identify avenues for refining financial processes, boosting data accuracy, and improving reporting capabilities.
  • Implement best practices in FP&A to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Financial Systems and Tools:
  • Leverage financial planning software and ERP systems to extract, analyze, and interpret financial data.
  • Continuously enhance proficiency in financial systems and tools to support FP&A functions.
ABOUT YOU
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or similar roles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach across functional teams.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and ERP systems is advantageous.
