Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for managing the supply chain operations for our Perioperative Department.

As a Healthcare Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and verifying all supplies and inventory coming into the hospital.
  • Filling daily department requisitions and verifying shipment against vendor packaging slip.
  • Preparing and applying all charge stickers, properly storing supplies, restocking supply exchange/crash carts, and distributing supplies.
  • Assisting with product recalls and identifying items to be ordered as warehouse stock or non-stock.
  • Monitoring and adjusting inventory levels to mitigate excess inventory and ensure end-users have what is needed to perform surgical cases.
  • Working in collaboration with Service Line Coordinators, Nurse Clinical Leaders, and all Perioperative staff to monitor quality, service, and utilization standards.
  • Examining incoming shipments of supplies to verify accuracy and quality, researching, analyzing, and resolving inventory and/or system problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare business, supplies, and/or materials management.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience in surgical/services background preferred.
