Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all company products and services meet the highest quality standards. This involves understanding customer expectations and needs, outlining quality standards, and developing quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all company safety policies are adhered to by quality employees, providing suggestions for ongoing improvements to the company safety program.
2. Manage and ensure all company quality policies and procedures are followed by hourly employees, including inspection procedures, nonconformance, rework, measurements verification, and customer requirements.
3. Comply with ISO/AS9100 accreditation requirements and internal auditing schedule.
4. Collaborate with the supply chain department to establish quality requirements for new suppliers, audit supplier processes to reduce risk, and maintain a monthly scorecard with key performance deliverables.
5. Prepare and present quarterly direct management review reports to the leadership team, addressing the performance of the overall quality systems, customer, supplier, and continual improvement.
6. Ensure the calibration process is effective and accurate, monitoring all company-owned measurement devices and meeting the acceptance tolerance range for Gage R&R.
7. Ensure processes, documentation, and procedures are accurate, maintained, and followed in quality, and that processes implemented are efficient to meet intended objectives.
8. Maintain and achieve quality KPIs that reflect company goals, customer requirements, and a '0' defect culture.
9. Implement a quality succession chart providing a roadmap/organizational chart for quality employees' success and growth within the company.
10. Drive lean standards to improve quality, reduce COPQ, and increase quality throughput.
11. Implement and train to drive root cause and continuous improvement culture.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in Quality Control Engineering
- 10 years of experience in Precision Machining Industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices
- Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, 5 why's, Fish Bone Analysis, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skills
- Fluent in GD&T in a machining environment (ASME Y14.5M)
- BS degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field is helpful, but not required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
