Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Synerfac. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of controls equipment to current safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Project Management: Create plans for engineering projects, including designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and testing of new equipment and processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with departments and external parties to implement processes enhancing Plant's efficiency, and provide technical support to plant maintenance groups, including installation, troubleshooting, process control, and equipment repair.
  • Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical and electrical projects to support site goals for productivity, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Project Coordination: Manage capital engineering projects within defined budget and schedule, and coordinate with outside vendors and suppliers.
  • Equipment Specification and Installation: Specify equipment and manage physical installations during moves and upgrades.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in Kaizen events to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in advanced machine control concepts and programming of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS, RSLogix, Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Soft Skills: Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment with limited supervision, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
