Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a key member of our surgical support services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role
  • Assume responsibility for the efficient management of patient care in the immediate post-anesthesia period.
  • Provide direct supervision to other personnel assigned to the PACU to ensure appropriate delegation of responsibilities.
  • Maintain communication with the Director of Surgical Support Services or designee and Anesthesia staff to ensure prompt communication of any problems during the immediate postoperative period.
  • Participate in a rotational call system to provide continuous availability of patient services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification are required.
