We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. As a Pressure Garment Systems Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of pressure garment systems for space suits.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical direction and oversight for the development of pressure garment systems, including design, testing, and evaluation.
- Lead teams of engineers and technicians in the development and implementation of pressure garment systems.
- Collaborate with other NASA centers, government agencies, universities, and technical companies to investigate concepts, principles, and theories related to pressure garment systems.
- Represent the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center as a subject matter expert on pressure garment systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks associated with pressure garment systems.
- Develop and implement technical plans and procedures for the development and testing of pressure garment systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to program managers and other stakeholders on pressure garment systems.
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of pressure garment systems.
- Proven track record of leading teams and providing technical direction and oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
