Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for coordinating various admitting and clerical duties to ensure the efficient processing and scheduling of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Greets and receives patients, notifies necessary personnel, and communicates effectively with patients and visitors.
- Answers multiple phone lines, interprets and verifies physicians' orders, and processes patient information.
- Admits and discharges patients, creates charts, and maintains department records and reports.
- Provides clerical support for departmental meetings, projects, and activities, and completes required information and documents.
- Identifies patient insurance and benefits, collects co-payments, and assists with billing and other departments.
- High School Education/GED or equivalent.
- Associate's/Technical Degree in business, healthcare, or computer science or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
