Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Officer II to join our team at Truist. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends in portfolio risk, developing and implementing training and communication related to credit risk initiatives, and providing leadership and prioritization for initiatives assigned to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze trends in portfolio risk through interaction with Commercial/CIG and Credit Risk Teammates and assignments.
  • Develop and implement training and/or communication related to credit risk initiatives such as changes in policy, procedures, and processes.
  • Provide leadership and prioritization for initiatives assigned to the team and/or direct reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key line of business partners to successfully lead, participate in working groups, or collaboratively manage initiatives to improve and ensure successful execution of Commercial/CIG Credit Delivery and Credit Risk processes.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for wholesale credit risk processes to support Commercial/CIG and Credit Risk Teammates through change management, and ongoing once changes have been implemented.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization from informing leadership and stakeholders on portfolio risk monitoring trends and wholesale credit risk training initiatives, to educating impacted teammates on forthcoming implementations.
  • Management of the various reporting, governance, and risk oversight activities for wholesale credit risk leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Accounting, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Ten years of banking experience in various commercial roles, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business credit underwriting and processes.
  • Experience interacting with Senior Leadership.
  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by either direct or indirect leadership.
  • Excellent independent thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an MBA, Graduate School of Banking, or formal bank training program.
  • Completion of Leadership Training Program and/or certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Strong understanding of the Truist Credit Culture.
  • Familiarity with Truist standard software packages.
