Job Description: Community Revitalization Specialist

The Community Revitalization Specialist will play a vital role in our development and fundraising efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Advancement Officer, this individual will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of an annual fund development plan.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of an annual fund development plan.
  • Assist with providing staff support to board of directors and fund development committee volunteers.
  • Conduct research on prospective federal, state, city, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities as well as individual donors.
  • Collaborate with the Grants & Fund Development Support Specialist on grant-writing and management of grant submissions and reporting activities.
  • Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of federal, state, city, foundation, corporate, and individual donor files.
  • Prepare call sheets for donor prospect meetings.
  • Assemble donor kits for events and meetings.
  • Process donations and prepare acknowledgement letters and correspondence.
  • Manage donor database records and update them as necessary.
  • Respond to donor inquiries related to their gifts.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Social Media Specialist (as needed) on managing website and social media accounts, creating newsletters, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain guest lists, gather registration materials, and perform other duties as assigned for fundraising events and RWCI activities.
  • Support all administrative details associated with Fund Development Committee meetings.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • At least three years of experience in fund development, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Renaissance West Community Initiative's mission.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills, demonstrated experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising software, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities.
  • Flexible schedule to support fundraising events and activities.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
