Position Summary
As a 3rd Grade Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality, inquiry-driven educational experience to young learners. Your responsibilities will include implementing a curriculum that is both engaging and aligned with educational standards, while creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Design and execute an innovative curriculum for Grades K-5, focusing on transdisciplinary themes and skills.
    • Create inquiry-based learning units that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
    • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to meet the varied learning needs of students.
  • Assessment:
    • Employ various assessment methods to monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
    • Provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Differentiated Instruction:
    • Tailor instruction to address the unique needs of each student, including those with diverse learning abilities.
    • Encourage a student-centered approach, empowering learners to take charge of their educational journey.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and effective instructional practices.
    • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills and understanding of educational philosophies.
    • Participate in collaborative planning and sharing of best practices.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Build positive relationships with students and families through effective communication and involvement in school activities.
    • Promote a sense of community and support students in developing cultural awareness and respect.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Department of Education Certification in one of the following:
  • K-5 All Subjects Endorsement
  • Lower Elementary Education PK-3 Endorsement
  • Upper Elementary Education 3-6 Endorsement
  • K-8 All Subjects Endorsement

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Contract: 188 Days

Background Check:
