Swimming Instructor Job

We are hiring a dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team at the City of Minnetonka. As a Swimming Instructor, you will play a vital role in promoting water safety and encouraging people of all ages to enjoy swimming.

About the Job:

  • Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Assess student progress, adjust instruction, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of swimming programs, events, and activities that promote the sport and benefit the community.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and program participation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a swimming instructor or coach.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, safety protocols, and program management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing situations, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with departmental policies, procedures, and software applications.

Salary Estimate: $22-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
