Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly accomplished machine learning researcher to join our team at Imbue, Inc. as a Research Scientist. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for investigating the fundamental questions of intelligence, knowledge, and understanding in order to develop software with human-level intelligence.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and develop new research questions that clarify the nature of the problem being solved and coordinate a research program to successfully answer those questions.
- Collaborate internally and externally with other researchers and be supported by a team of research engineers.
- Develop and implement new methods for improving the capabilities of our AI systems, including RL methods for LLMs, code verification and test generation, improvements to chain of thought, decoding time algorithms for LLMs, synthetic data generation, and language model interfaces to code.
- Run ML experiments and analyze results to inform research decisions.
- Clearly communicate research ideas and intuitions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor a small team of research engineers and provide guidance on research projects.
- A highly accomplished machine learning researcher with a track record of high-quality papers at top conferences or equivalent accomplishments in industry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Experience with ML frameworks and tools, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
