Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal condition of residential units, buildings, and surrounding areas. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances
  • Troubleshooting and fixing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems
  • Maintaining HVAC systems
  • Painting both interior and exterior surfaces
  • Performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and yard maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing all responsibilities in alignment with company policies and safety standards, while striving to meet client expectations based on operational budgets and management agreements.

Compensation:
$21 - $22 per hour

Essential Duties:

  • Client Engagement: Uphold the philosophies and objectives of the property owner in daily operations to ensure client satisfaction.
  • General Maintenance: Follow the designated maintenance program to maintain the property in a safe and economical manner. Adhere to the preventative maintenance guidelines as outlined in the Maintenance Manual.
  • On-call Maintenance: Provide emergency maintenance services during evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the Employee Handbook.
  • Unit Preparation: Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant units to ensure readiness for new residents.
  • Equipment Management: Repair and maintain all equipment owned by the property, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce community rules and regulations consistently and fairly, while adhering to Fair Housing Laws.
