Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at United Parks and Resorts, Inc. as a key member of our maintenance operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the electrical team, ensuring the successful maintenance operation of all park electrical infrastructure, and providing expert electrical knowledge to support the overall operation of the park.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and schedule the electrical team, vendors, and outside contractors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
    • Determine the distribution of workload, anticipate staffing needs for downtime periods, and ensure appropriate employee rotation for development and training.
    • Oversee labor budget and ensure accurate timekeeping.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of general lighting and power circuits, commercial electrical appliances, motors, and motor controls.
    • Install electrical wiring according to governing codes and install additional light and receptacle circuitry in existing structures and new additions to the park.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Prepare, implement, and balance the electric shop's annual operating budget.
    • Perform administrative duties required to support shop functions, including writing, reviewing, and authorizing standard operating procedures, and completing work orders.
  • Training and Development
    • Communicate training activities, including diagnostic and troubleshooting, and professional certifications.
    • Provide expert electrical knowledge and recommend process improvements.
  • Customer Service and Safety
    • Ensure excellent customer service by anticipating and responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs.
    • Maintain a safe work environment, ensure employees receive all required safety training, equipment, and supplies, and safe work practices are followed.
  • Other Duties
    • Conduct accident investigations and follow-up reviews with employees.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Must have 5 years of experience in the electrical trade or related field.
      • Must have 2 years of supervising or managing a work group, including assigning and evaluating work, performance feedback, training, and development, and financial responsibility of an area or division.
    • Skills and Qualifications
      • Must be at least 18 years of age.
      • Must have and maintain a valid California driver's license.
      • Must be a current State of California Certified General Electrician.
      • Must have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the electrical code for the City of San Diego.
      • Must be able to install all electrical wiring according to code and advise others on the same.
      • Must have proficient knowledge of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Strong leadership skills and ability to resolve issues.
      • Able to successfully work in and lead a team.
      • Ability to collaborate with other functions and departments to complete job duties.
      • Strong interpersonal skills, including team building, influence, inspiration, and negotiation.
      • Strong written/verbal communication skills, able to read, write, and speak English.
      • Strong time management skills.
      • Strong mathematical skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word).
      • Proficiency in job-related systems such as SAP, Park Ware, KRONOS, and TMM preferred.
      • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
      • Able to positively interact with guests and coworkers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
      • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot issues.
      • Able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds or more.
      • Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel; stoop, crawl, or kneel.
      • Extensive bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing at various heights (over 300ft/Skytower).
      • Work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., wet and/or humid conditions).
      • Work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.
      Compensation

$41.00 USD Hourly
