Position Overview
As the Engagement Director, you will be entrusted with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability essential for executing your designated duties. The primary objective of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the comprehensive operation of the Recreation Department in alignment with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, assess, and manage the recreational programs of the facility.
- Engage in community planning that reflects the interests of the facility and addresses the needs of residents and their families.
- Fulfill administrative duties, including completing necessary documentation and reports, and submitting them to the administrator as required.
- Conduct daily rounds to ensure that activity programs are effectively communicated to residents.
- Foster an environment of warmth, personal interest, and positive engagement, while maintaining a calm atmosphere throughout the facility.
- Ensure that necessary supplies for activities are readily available to facilitate scheduled programs.
- Assist residents in scheduling appointments as needed, which may include providing transportation.
- Operate facility vehicles as required.
- Participate in community service initiatives, inter-generational programs, and volunteer opportunities that promote human connection and purpose.
- Advocate for positive changes within the facility and provide mentorship to new residents as they integrate into our community.
- Incorporate activities that encourage friendships among residents and provide various forms of entertainment that promote enjoyment, camaraderie, and well-being, with a focus on personal fitness and vitality.
Qualifications
- Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a willingness to collaborate harmoniously with other team members.
- Capability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of ten pounds to a height of at least ten feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of ten feet.
- Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.
