As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for the performance and production of our manufacturing operations, managing production personnel and processes, and ensuring quality control and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage department area production orders
- Create an inspiring team environment with open communication

- Ensure tooling support for machines and production transition
- Establish, maintain, and improve processes to support consistent tool sets and processes

- Supervise employees involved in daily operations and production of parts
- Set team goals and deadlines, delegating tasks to ensure achievement of established objectives

- Maintain safety throughout the plant, manage schedule for safety training, and promote shop floor organization and plant cleanliness

- Multi-task to manage several projects, run machines during shift, and focus on continuous improvement
- Set up CNC Mills and/or Lathes, confirm proper router and drawing, and review program specifications
- Establish a strong and reliable set-up for operators to follow, and fill out proper instructions
- Recognize high performance, verify expected cycle times and production expectations daily, and keep scrap to 2% minimum
- Validate part quality through IPIC chart completion and verification, ensure tooling/back-up tooling is adequate, and maintain organization/cleanliness of work areas
- Work in close collaboration with programming and operations teams, suggest and organize team building activities, and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, print reading, and mathematics and manufacturing processes

- Experience and confidence in making decisions

- 3-axis Mastercam programming experience a plus
